Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the mode of APS/URSI 2021 conference?

A: It is to be held in a ‘hybrid’ mode in Singapore, and comprises presentations to be made by physical on-site and/or virtual online participants, along with their interactions via Q&A whenever possible.

Q: What is the format of the presentation?

A: Being a “hybrid” mode, all presenters should make presentations either physically on-site or virtually via an online platform. [The “in-person presentation” in the notification email refers to a presentation to be made physically or virtually (live with the presenter's face unhide), by one author, not by robot/read-aloud.]

Q: What if I cannot travel or my virtual presentation slot is within a very bad timing (e.g. late night/wee hours) due to my time zone?

A: Due to many constraints of conforming with session topics, mixed authors from different continents, limited day-time slots available, etc., some presenters may face this problem, and your kind understanding is much appreciated. In this case, your pre-recorded video/slides will be played during the scheduled presentation slot. The instructions to upload such videos/slides for playback will be provided later. Please continue to check our website for any updates.

Q: When would I know about the information on my session and presentation slot?

A: The information on sessions and presentation slots will be made available only after paper registration and scheduling (estimated by early Oct). Please continue to check our website for any updates.

Q: When is the last date of paper registration?

A: Every accepted paper must be linked to a registered person by 22 August 2021. Any paper not linked to a registered person by 22 August 2021 will be withdrawn from the technical program and proceedings.

Q: When will the registration portal open?

A: It is estimated to open by early August 2021. Please continue to check our website for any updates.
